ABOUT REV. RICKY DAVID

Rev. Ricky is the Senior Pastor in IEMC Downey. He and his family have been here since June 1, 2005.

Pastor Ricky graduated from Institute of Theology in Batu - Malang, East Java. He finished his bachelor of theology in 1997. He became the Associate Pastor of a church in Sidoarjo, East Java for 7.5 years.

He came here with his wife; Sarah Soviah Latumahina who also graduated from Institute of Theology, and two kids (Dephia Sehekinah Rooswell Lomban - 9 years & Kenneth Zefanya Edelnico Lomban - 7 years. On May 17, 2006, GOD blessed them with another baby girl Karissa Dararose Lomban.

IEMC PRINCIPAL MINISTRY

To be a church that always tries to reach out to Indonesian people who do not believe in Christ and do not have a home church. However, IEMC is also open to expand its ministry to others ethnics, languages, and countries.
To be a church that always tries to support missionaries Indonesia who are ministry outside Indonesia. However, it also opens to support mission in Indonesia.
To be a church that always teaches their congregation to love God and IEMC. That means:
- Willing to sacrifice for God and IEMC.
- Having a strong commitment for God and IEMC & always put God and IEMC's needs first.
- Maintain unity between congregations.
- Maintain a holy life for a Christian testimony and expanding our ministry.
To be a church that always tries to teach the congregations to grow and bear fruits for Christ, so IEMC can become a:
- Church that prays
- Church that sings
- Church that learns
- Church that works
- Church that has testimonies
- Church that has fellowships
- Church that sacrifices

IN SUMMARY

IEMC will remind its uniqueness as an ethnic church that uses Indonesian language, based on its vision and mission. However, it is open to serve people from other nationalities who are non Indonesian and speak other languages.
IEMC will focus its ministry on:
- Finding and ministering to those who do not know Christ
- Training the congregations to share the gospel through Evangelism Explosion.
- Adopting and supporting missionaries in Aceh - Indonesia, Jutxlajaca - Mexico, and Guinnea Bissau - Africa.
- Establishing a mission foundation.
IEMC will always try to become a church that support mission in concrete, having praise and worship, and a strong teaching of the Bible. It will always try to become a congregations that are rooted, growing, and bearing fruits for Christ that means loving Christ above everything else, loving one another, and loving the church.

Pdt. Ricky Lomban sekeluarga adalah pendeta yang menggembalakan GMII Downey sekarang. Beliau beserta keluarga diutus oleh Sinode GMII di Jakarta-Indonesia sejak 1 Juni 2005 untuk melayani dan menggembalakan jemaat ini.

Pdt. Ricky Lomban adalah lulusan Sekolah Teologia di Batu-Malang Jawa-Timur (I-3 = Institut Injil Indonesia). Beliau menyelesaikan program Sarjana Teologianya pada tahun 1997. Sempat membantu pelayanan sebagai penginjil /. assistant pastor di satu gereja di Sidoarjo, Jawa-Timur selama kurang lebih 7,5 tahun. Nama gerejanya adalah Gereja Kebangunan Kalam Allah.

Datang ke USA (Dalam rangka melayani sebagai gembala di GMII Downey) dengan isteri, Sarah Soviah Latumahina, yang juga adalah lulusan Institut Injil Indonesia beserta dua anak (Dephia Sehekinah Rooswell Lomban - 9 tahun & Kenneth Zefanya Edelnico Lomban - 7 tahun). Pada 17 Mei 2006, Tuhan memberkati keluarga Pdt. Ricky lagi dengan seorang anak perempuan, Karissa Dararose Lomban - 17 Mei 2008 ini 2 tahun.
